YOWThe CEO of ExplainerDC Ghana, Enyo Kumahor, is attending YOW! Australia 2015 underway in  three cities – Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. YOW! is a global gathering of notable tech speakers including world-renowned Developers with 10+ years, inventors of globally-acclaimed products like Smalltalk and key figures from high profile Software companies like Uber, Facebook, ThoughtWorks and  Groupon.

Earlier on, Enyo spoke on a wide range of technology topics including “Frugal Innovation in Software on the continent“.

As a Founding member of Agile Africa, Enyo is specially positioned to bring the Continent to this World forum to enhance the prospects of Africa’s greater participation in the global tech landscape. Max of Nigeria makes it to Crunch Disrupt London 2015 finalists

Metro Africa Xpress – MAX –  of Nigeria was a finalist at the just ended Crunch Disrupt London 2015.  The event recognizes and rewards innovative tech start ups. Max was selected for their innovative courier service that charges on basis of distance rater than weight.  The start up company won the coveted tech award for their innovation in leveraging mobile technology for on-demand local delivery to urban Africa. The application affords merchants super fast delivery to their client and customers.  The service  alerts a MAX courier closest to the requesting merchant, thus allowing companies to deliver goods to customers within minutes.

We hope to see another African company make it to the next year.

Responsiveness now a major Google ranking factor

If your website is not responsive,  then Google is not going to be your friend. Its now official that websites that are not mobile device friendly will be ranked down.

Mobiles are now part of our everyday browsing experience. With the huge number of users viewing their webpages including Google.com on their phones, it is only reasonable that visitors to the Search Engine have the best experience.
